We're now into day 4 with the Files Forever shopping cart problem. Whenever I get in touch, I receive a somewhat standard, placatory e-mail from a member of the Dreamhost staff, but with no information about progress being made, if any. I apologise to all of you for the long interruption in service. I know some of you want to buy movies (some have written to tell me so!), but there isn't anything more I can do to hurry things along.
I am hoping that this is not going to become a regular problem with Dreamhost because moving the business elsewhere would be a massive upheaval, and a very time consuming affair. I know Dreamhost has been hit hard with problems over the past month, some of them due to update packages supplied by third parties which have completely screwed up their systems, and some of it due to hacker attacks. I know too they have been inundated with complaints, and adding my voice to those would serve no constructive purpose. They have also been uncommonly good to me, so I am loathed to make any changes really. I just hope things don't fall apart to the extent that they make relocation necessary.
