Problem when posting

Quite often when I submit a message here, I get the following warning:

"The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again."

If you get this, click the submit button again and the message should post. I have no idea where this problem originated - it has been present for a while, but I thought it was affecting only me since no one said anything, until recently. I will try to track down the cause. If any one has an idea what might be causing it, I'd like to hear from you.

I found that when I post a message with asterix characters, or certainx-rated words such as sex, I get this error message. It doesn't tell you what the offending word is, so you just have to guess.

I have had this occur to me regularly. It occurs with both "Preview" and "Submit." It has nothing to do with the posted content I am sure. I have attributed it to pure cussedness. (I don't think the new-fangled computer thingies are going to catch-on anyway.)

I have also had the same issue, and have been unable to determine the cause. No special characters or dirty words have been used, so I am at a loss so far...

It is undoubtedly one of those software insect thingies --- a bug. As programmers are so fond of saying, "We will know where it is when we find it!" To which I add, "If it is not where you are looking, it is probably somewhere else."

I have looked into this. It appears I need to update the board software. I may try it soon, but it will take the board offline for a while. Since I don't have much experience with this it makes me slightly nervous that I may screw it all up!
