Scavenger Hunt? [movie idea]

Dave--

Since the weather is getting so nice again with autumn finally upon us, i thought perhaps you may be interested in doing more outdoor movies. This led me to the idea of having one, or more, models doing a scavenger hunt video! I seem to remember doing something similar with Jayne quite some time ago, though it may have been chores she had to complete before going rather than things to find. But my idea is simply this:

Get one of our lovely ladies good and desperate to go as typical B2B protocol. Hand her a list that you have previously created of riddles or descriptions of objects, or locations (on your property of course) that she must find while coping with her bladder. If she reaches the end and gathers all of the things while staying dry, then she gets to relieve herself in the toilet. If not, then obviously she gets to model her wet clothes for us.

If you want to make things a little more interesting and/or challenging for the ladies, perhaps set it up so that they must drink 8 ounces of liquid or torture their bladder muscles with one of your small cups for them to fill, and not a drop more!

I know its a little more elaborate than some of your videos and does take some planning, but its something a little different than a standard time to go or holding contest that i think could be rather fun to see.

i like the idea. just to add something on and to connect it with one or the popular types of movies. You could reward the model by when ever she solve a clue she gets to pee a small cup like the time to go movies. think it will help it reach more poeple this way

An interesting combination of ideas. These hunts sometimes work. Yes, Jayne did one which sold well, but a later one with Mariah sold very badly. I agree there will need to be additional elements to broaden its appeal. I'll add it to the list and pick a good day for it. Right now, it is raining cats and dog... wherever did that strange expression originate? I suspect Titus McFish would know :-)

Aye, Davie, were ye referrin' to me? That be Titus MacFlush, not McFish. McFish is that other guy.

Anyway, here be a guess...

Domesticated cats and dogs, and no other animals, are linked in speech with furious storms. One conjecture is that furious gales with thunder sound a lot like the eruption of a cat-and-dog fight, if heard with sensitive and imaginative ears. Many households used to keep half a dozen or so dogs and sometimes a like number of cats. Perhaps a comment that "the storm sounds like the cats are fighting with the dogs again" was turned into the saying that dark, heavy clouds are raining cats and dogs.

Another plausible guess is that witches credited with causing storms often rode the winds in the form of black cats. And in Norse mythology, the god of storms was always surrounded by dogs and their cousins, wild wolves. Some experts suggest it is a combination of those two myths.

Not a lot to bet your Tam o’ Shanter on.

In pre-medieval times, most houses were just a single wooden room with a thick thatch roof and a hole in the top for fire smoke to exit. The room was most likely divided into upper and lower storeys, with wooden steps between the two.

Animals would be kept at ground level at night and in bad weather, because not only did it prevent them from being stolen or attacked and eaten, the heat from the animals would help keep the house warm.

The humans would sleep on the wooden floor above this, but cats and dogs would tend to prefer the more insulated thatch in which to doze off, in between catching vermin. However, if there was heavy rain and the thatch became soaked the dogs and cats would all jump out of the roof in order to escape becoming very wet. In addition, it has been suggested that with no drains and with cart tracks deeply rutted and full of large pot holes, some small animals may have drowned after falling in the water which quickly collected an then subsequently ran down the narrow streets between houses with cats and dogs floating in it.

This would almost appear as though the cats and dogs had arrived with the onset of the heavy rain, and hence the saying.
