Trojan Horse Warning

Dave, over the past two days every time I try to access the main .net page, my virus checked stops it from loading and gives me a Trojan Horse warning. I don't know if you've been aware of this yet. Accessing the forum directly doesn't seem to yield the same warning, though

Some one did report to me yesterday that he could not get the main page to load, although I've not any trouble with it myself, not in Firefox of Safari. The html script for the main page shows nothing unusual - no additions or signs of tampering. I can run a check for viruses on the site and let everyone know here if anything turns up. I've been through all this before, however, with no results. The problem may even reside on your own computer.
Thanks for reporting this issue.
Dave.

Dreamhost has performed a full scan of my sites. They found a few minor things but nothing to suggest any kind of virus has been introduced. They did clean up a few files that were a bit suspect but these exhibited nothing malicious. Four of them were actually part of this forum software which, I confess, is out of date and probably vulnerable. I hesitate to update it because this version already has a bug, perhaps created by me, and I fear doing more harm than good. It may well be that the update is painless and seamless but I don't know that for sure. If anyone has used phpBB and is familiar with the updates, perhaps they would be kind enough to comment here on any potential issues. Thanks.
Other that this, I cannot find any strange looking files in my directories, nor anything where the date looks off. Hopefully, the minor changes made by Dreamhost have solved whatever issue you were experiencing.
Dave.

I have no problems with this site either. I am very suspicious of some of those virus killer software programs, they seem to be more trouble than they are worth. No browser worth having ought to allow the downloading of files onto a hard drive these days without the user being warned of the file name/type and agreeing manually. At least that is how I have set mine up via the preferences. Fortunately, I have a Mac so that .exe files would not run on my machine anyway, but it seems to be these plug-in sites and other browser additions that can introduce all manner of junk to machines if you are not careful.

I'm still getting the warning from Avast. I've uploaded a screenshot of what I see.

Thanks. This is just the warning page to the site. The page itself is extremely simple (see below) so one can see at once that no additional commands have been added to it. I also note that your warning message contains {gzip}. There are no zipped files present at this location. Indeed, I can find nothing that would trigger this warning. Have you checked your own computer for malware? Sometimes one may get spurious warnings from an infected machine.
