Just purchased "Caught Out In Cab" . The old Mimi's movie. The file has some problem. Can't play it using real player and wmp. Tried with vlc player but the video has some problem. It is not flowing. ONly the audio is working fine but not the video.

I have just downloaded Caught in a Cab (cabcaught.wmv) from Files Forever and it plays without a problem. I played it with Quicktime Player in conjunction with Flip4Mac, and then with Real Player.

The issue evidently resides with you. If your download is corrupted in some way, you should delete your copy and download it again - don't overwrite the existing, corrupted file with another download.

Yes, I have had all sorts of trouble on my Apple laptop with Quicktime and playing WMV files in the past, but now have QT 10.2 and have no problems whatsoever playing .wmv files. The only files I cannot play now with 10.2 are .rm ones, but VLC copes with those.

Some of my oldest WMV files were downloaded in 2001 and they still play ok on my latest Macbook Pro running OS 10.8.

I think that is excellent.
