A few years ago, I enhanced the recording of this 2012 game show style video, but I could not take it beyond the dimensions in which it had been originally released. Today, quite by chance while cataloguing the contents of some old backup drives, I came across the raw files for this movie; they sum to 23 GB in size. I didn't think any copies of this still existed, but here we are. I thought about what to do with them for a while, because I had already enhanced and re-released this movie once. Finally, I decided, to hell with it. This film is so unique that it would be a shame to just leave it alone. I have therefore re-imported these raw files into the latest version of Final Cut Pro, performed even more enhancements, and am currently exporting it at 1920x1080 pixels, the real full HD deal. I don't know what the final Quicktime file size is going to be yet, but it will be huge. I will compress it down into an MP4, capping the bit rate at 6 Mbps. Even so, it will still be a monster.
A file significantly bigger than 2 GB will not work with the B2B Store software - it would exhaust the server's RAM in the attempt to download it. In that regard, OpenCart sucks. I shall consider the best method of delivery for anyone interested. Chances are, this will have to be using the old fashioned download method where I give you a username and password to access it outside of OpenCart. It would mean paying and then writing to me to grant access to the file, but that's how we did it for the first three years of B2B. Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more?
