Clips4Sale Tribute option to finance multi-model movies

As you are all aware, my income has shrunk significantly of late owing to the demise of Files Forever. This has led to me streamlining operations - limiting myself to 6 shoots per month, two purely for bondage work, and lowering the sum paid to the models. I hate doing the latter because those girls work so hard and often travel such distances to be here, but for the time being I don't really have a choice.

Earlier in the year, I mentioned the possibility of one or two multi-model shoots this year. By multi, I am talking about 4-5 models, not something as major as The Wettest Link session. As things stand now, a multi-model shoot would nearly use up my budget for an entire month so it is not practical for me to entertain such shoots. However, someone suggested to me that I could maybe use the Clips4Sale Tribute option to collect money in advance to pay for it, with the contributors getting the movie or movies for free after the shoot. Clips4Sale says that the tribute option is intended to be used as a tipping service, not in exchange for goods or services. However, any "tip" I received need seem like nothing more than that. It's true that many of the tips would be around the same magnitude which may raise a red flag, but it's something we could try if you guys are interested.

The down side: Clips4Sale takes some of the tribute (well of course they do); it is split 75:25 in my favour. That means some of your money would be going to Clips4Sale and not me, but it is the only viable way I can collect funds at present.

Are you interested in making this happen? For a 5-hour, 4-model shoot I would need to raise a little over $2,200. If each interested person donated a tribute of $30 (of which I would receive $22.50), that would about cover the cost of the resulting movie for you (it's likely there would only be one desperation and one bondage but they would both be fairly long). And yes, I will be making the same request of the bondage community so you will not be carrying the load for them.

Another down side: If I didn't receive enough contributions to cover a 4-model shoot, I would have to stage something with three or even 2 models, so you'd have to contribute knowing that this possibility exists. It would also be impossible for me to refund any money sent, but I could provide a couple of free movies (of your choice) to contributors to make sure they didn't lose out.

I'm in, I suggested something similar before but wasn't sure on the system. I take it somehow you will know who the 'tip' was from and then we contact you or something and download the movie from here?

Just to be sure, donation would give just the one desperation movie, not both movies made? But this movie would be around the same length as the average holding contests have been in the past, so worth it in the end ?

I think $30 is fine, the movie will probably be around that when it goes 'live' anyway right? Even if its not the scale of WIL or WL it's the quality that matters

As someone who donated in the past to similar such endeavors from you (the Waiting-in-Line fund and then a fund for a holding contest prize), I would be willing to participate in something like this. However, a few questions come to mind:

1. Do C4S even tell you who "tribute", and how much?

2. Are the tribute amounts fixed, or can anyone pay as much or as little as they want? Can you set the rate?

3. When the movie finally goes up for sale, will it really cost $30? It wouldn't be fair if the contributors pay a lot more than the customers of the finished movie, and it wouldn't encourage donations.

4. Will you advertise in advance who the models are going to be and what scenario is going to be shot? I for one would *love* to see another game-show movie like the Wettest Link, or any other type of holding contest, even with fewer models. However, I dislike many of the staged and contrived scenarios. I would be far more willing to donate to my favorite models acting out my preferred scenarios than to a movie that I wouldn't otherwise buy. I'm sure others feel the same way, even if their personal choice of models and scenarios is different.

I have placed a tribute button on the front page of B2B and this is set at $30, and can be used if anyone wants to contribute to this project even at this early stage before models have been selected. I see that there is a section for comments to accompany a tribute; best to avoid these I think. Just send me an e-mail with the receipt after the fact rather than mention anything on C4S.

I note that on my Clips4Sale store (8916), there is a different tribute button which is completely independent of the one I have set up. This one does not have the $30 option, but instead has a range of options from $5 to $500. For anyone wanting to send more than $30, this is the best way to do so.

Like you say Dave, the tribute button on C4S asks the user to acknowledge that it isn't to be used for products or services.

So are you sure C4S won't object to it being used this way? Worst case scenario they could close your stores, which would obviously be a big problem.

Could you not just set up a Paypal account and get donations paid into that? I'm sure that Paypal's charges are less than 25%.

Have you looked into selling your movies through WetSet? They have a clips store with lots of producers and surely wouldn't object to the content of your movies. I don't know what charges they levy on producers though.
